Judith Capelle (double bass), Sunniva Skaug (viola) and Stefanie Van Gool (flute/piccolo)
The Schulhoff Trio consists of three young and energetic musicians who share a passion for the Czech composer Erwin Schulhoff. Inspired by the unique combination of their instruments, the trio further developed their ensemble and build a strong musical connection with each other. They enjoy presenting creative, diverse and original programs featuring both classical gems and lesser-known works, as well as arrangements for flute, viola and double bass.
Concert Program:
Ode to Schulhoff!
During this concert, the Schulhoff Trio takes the audience on a journey through time, exploring both old and new music. From Bach's Goldberg Variations and Haydn's Divertimento to Koechlin's Trio and Bartók's folk dances, each work in the program influenced the music of Erwin Schulhoff.
This concert brings together traditional Baroque techniques and folk-inspired music, which are brought together in the final work of the concert: Schulhoff’s Concertino.
